Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 April 2026

This policy describes how Fraittech (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit fraittech.co.ke, request services, use our shop checkout, or interact with our forms. It is written to reflect the main technical flows implemented on the site (contact and quotation emails, newsletter signups, design brief uploads, cart data in your browser, optional live chat, and payments routed through our payment provider).

Summary

Overview

We collect only what we need to respond to you, deliver projects, process orders, and run the website securely. We do not sell your personal information. When we use third-party tools (for example email delivery, payments, or chat), they process data under their own policies and our instructions where applicable.

Categories

Information we collect

  • Contact form (“contact-handler”): name, email, subject, and message content you submit.
  • Quotation request (“quotation-handler”): name, email, phone, company (if provided), service type, project description, budget range, timeline, and related project fields.
  • Newsletter (“newsletter-handler”): email address; we may send a confirmation or welcome message to that address.
  • Design briefs / design builder (“design-handler”): information and files you choose to upload or type into those forms, which may include branding details and creative assets.
  • Shopping cart & checkout: product selections, quantities, and totals may be stored in your browser (for example localStorage) so the cart persists; checkout may collect billing-related contact details and order summary text sent to our payment integration.
  • Payments (“pay.php” / IntaSend): amount, currency, email address you provide for the transaction, and optional metadata such as customer name, phone, and a short order summary. Card or mobile-money details are handled by the payment provider on their secure pages, not on our server.
  • Technical data: standard server and security logs (for example IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error diagnostics) and aggregated analytics that hosting or infrastructure may generate.
  • Cookies and similar storage: essential consent state and, if you choose “Accept all”, scripts that enable live chat may set additional cookies. See Cookies & chat.

Purposes

How we use your information

  • To reply to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts for services you request.
  • To deliver creative and technical work, including design and development projects.
  • To process payments and confirm orders.
  • To send service-related messages (for example project updates or subscription confirmations).
  • To keep the website secure, debug issues, and comply with legal obligations.
  • With your consent where required (for example non-essential cookies or marketing, where offered).

Processors

Sharing and subprocessors

We share data only with service providers who help us run the business, including:

  • Email / SMTP providers used to deliver form notifications and client correspondence.
  • Payment processors (for example IntaSend) to initiate and reconcile payments.
  • Live chat (Tawk.to or similar, when loaded after you accept non-essential cookies), which processes chat content under their terms.
  • Hosting and infrastructure vendors that store website files and logs.

We require appropriate technical and organisational measures from vendors where contractually possible. We do not sell personal data to data brokers.

Storage periods

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. Enquiry emails and project correspondence may be retained for several years in line with business and tax practice. Server logs typically roll off on a shorter cycle. Cart data in your browser remains until you clear site data or we change storage keys in updates.

Safeguards

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. No online transmission is completely risk-free; if you believe your interaction with us has been compromised, contact us promptly.

You are in control

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data; to object or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Kenya, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner).

To exercise rights, email info@fraittech.co.ke. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling sensitive requests.

Consent banner

Cookies, local storage, and live chat

Our site script stores your cookie choice in localStorage and a first-party cookie so we do not repeatedly show the banner. If you choose essential only, we do not load optional chat scripts. If you choose accept all, we may load Tawk.to (or a comparable widget), which can set its own cookies and process chat metadata.

You can change effective consent later using cookie controls linked from the site footer or banner where provided.

Cross-border

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Kenya (for example EU or US data centres). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or vendor assurances, in addition to your awareness that email and chat systems may route globally.

Under 18

Children

Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental authority. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect substantive edits. Continued use of the site after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy where permitted by law.
